Your guide to achieving Excellence
Four Simple Words
An introduction to the EGSP® Leadership Model
Excellent
It’s important to show people where we’re going. It gives hope. It inspires. It gives us a sense of purpose. Without a clear vision, it’s hard to be an effective leader.
Excellent is where we’re going.
Good
Good is what we expect on a day-to-day basis. It’s what we’re here for. It’s what we get paid to do. It’s what we recruit people for. It’s meeting a specification.
Good is what we expect.
Satisfactory
Satisfactory sets a minimum standard. A tick in the box. A compliant document. It’s acceptable as a minimum. And helps communicate what we expect from others—and ourselves.
Satisfactory gets us over a line.
Poor
Everyone can agree what poor looks like. It could be your current performance, or a place you don’t want to go—poor is unacceptable.
Poor is where we start the journey.
