You know exactly what you want. And how it’ll make you feel. You’ve done your homework, read the reviews, shopped around. Anything less and you’ll be disappointed. Anything more and you’ll be delighted.

We’re wired from an early age to aim for 10/10. And rightly so. But more often than not, you’ll make a bigger impact by consistently hitting sevens.

7 is the new 10.

And yet, people often confuse good with excellent (watch out for low standards).

Whilst others confuse good with satisfactory (watch out for high expectations).

And sometimes, people confuse good with poor (these folk are never happy, they’re challenging individuals, and likely to upset people along the way!).

So we need to be clear on what’s expected.

Good is what people expect on a day-to-day basis. It’s what we get paid to do. It’s what we hire people for. Not ifs or buts. This is what we’re here for. It’s what you would expect.

ACTION 5

Expectations matter.

Think about one aspect of your train set. What does good look like?

Write it down.
