Now Next and Later

"What are you doing at the moment to communicate your immediate actions?"

Now Next and Later was introduced to Twelve Scholars by David Reid, CEO at Birtenshaw Group.

When we interviewed David for the podcast and printed journal he explained how this simple tool can be used to great effect in all forms of communication.

  • Now — focus all your attention on what needs to get done immediately and by who (maximum one action per person)

  • Next — consider what needs to get done in the near future, but just just quite yet (again, one action per person)

  • Later — all other should go here. Once you’ve completed your Now and Next actions, you should then revisit the Later list, and start all over again.

In this short tutorial, we also explain how as a leader, you can apply this technique to the EGSP Framework™.
